The Norwegian authorities require that workers who use fall protection equipment for their work receive training in its use (“Organization, Management and Participation Regulations” Chapter 8  §   8-1   General Training Requirements  ). The employer is responsible for providing the employee with the necessary training. The course provides a basic theoretical and practical introduction to fall protection.

Intention:

• Avoid accidents to prevent serious injury, death and sick leave.
• Learn about laws, regulations, standards, guidelines, user guides and best practices.
• Be knowledgeable about risk assessment and risk management when working at height.

• Seat belts, shock absorbers and blocks to prevent falls
• Fall factors and limitations
• Choosing the right equipment
• Check daily and periodically
• Storage and maintenance
• Anchorages and anchoring systems
• Hanging trauma and rescue
• Accidents and first aid
